A message from our CEO
As you may have heard, IDHS is once again extending the date that our day program services must remain closed. The original date was supposed to be September but after backlash from guardians and providers like EP!C, we have been granted a soft opening on August, 3rd.
Our staff has worked tirelessly to get our Townline facility ready for services including, but not limited to, directional signage, professional cleaning, personal dividers, and additional personal protective equipment. EP!C DSP staff have been working with individuals in our residential programs to get them acclimated to wearing masks, social distancing, and increased personal hygiene. We are ready to welcome people back into our building again and
we know the people we support are in need of coming back to work and to having their routines again.
On a more positive note, we can’t thank those enough for participating in our Bon Appétit LIVE event on June 11th. We went from planning a culinary event for 550 people to hosting a virtual evening with over 1,000 supporters tuning in. With the end of our fiscal year approaching it was imperative we host our signature event before June 30th. While we didn’t raise as much as we would have with a physical event, the outpouring of support was overwhelming! If you missed the event, you can watch it anytime from our YouTube channel. If you would like to make a contribution, donations are still being accepted at EPICci.org/donate – just select Bon Appétit Post-Event when making your gift.
THANK YOU TO OUR BON APPÉTIT SPONSORS

EP!C Funding
How many EP!C words can you find?
Earlier this year we were one of only 17 organizations across the nation to receive a grant from the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation. With that funding, we were able to purchase four accessible bikes that arrived just before we had to shut down our offices. Two are side-by-side where both can pedal/steer and two that are tandem with a wheelchair seat attachment
in the front.
During this pandemic, our Activities Coordinator, Angie has put in over 121 hours of riding to keep people active and entertained. She gets daily requests to go on a ride and for some, it’s been a great incentive for not only a healthier lifestyle but rewards for good behavior.
We can’t wait to come back and be more active while allowing everyone to have the independence and experience of riding a bike.
