A Message from Our CEO – Kim Cornwell

EP!C’s Premiere Annual Fundraiser Bon Appétit is just a few days away.  We are so excited to welcome Iron Chef America Judge, Food Network Personality and Italian Culinary Specialist, Chef Mario Rizzotti,   as our featured Chef this year.

Thanks to our corporate sponsors, board members and advocates, we have surpassed quite a number of our fundraising goals for this year’s event.  We have 4 Presenting Sponsors at the $10,000 range, increased our overall number of sponsorships by an additional 24 sponsors from last year’s event, and sold out the event at 450 seats before the invitations were scheduled to be mailed!  Thanks to our wonderful partnership with the Peoria Marriott Pere Marquette, we were able to add 100 additional seats to the event so we could invite more guests.  In total we have 41 total sponsors, 9 of whom are generous in-kind sponsors, totaling at this time $110,000 going into our event—another incredible first for EP!C!

This year’s event will support the services EP!C provides to individuals seeking employment, job skills training, computer/art classes and nursing services.  We are so excited with the growth of not only Bon Appétit, but our relationships with our sponsors, our families, and our community!   


EP!C Winedown 

Thank you!

We had a wonderful time at our 2nd Winedown last month.  Over 100 painters came out and spent their Friday night with us learning about EP!C, enjoying some delicious wine and hors d’oeuvres, and flexing their creative sides while Vino Van Gogh provided the direction.

Thank you to our friends at Grand Prairie Hy-Vee for hosting this fun event and we look forward to seeing you at our next Winedown on August 4th.


EP!C Volunteer

Volunteers are an integral part of our EP!C family; our success is directly linked to the many volunteers who generously give of their time and hearts.  Whether you have a lot of time on your hands, or just a few hours, the time you spend as an EP!C volunteer can and does impact and change the lives of our individuals.   We welcome volunteers in all of our programs and of all capacities, whether they are a one-time project, ongoing hours each month, or as a day of service for an organization or business. 

One of the many impactful volunteer positions are our Boards, the EP!C Foundation Board and our EP!C Operations Board.  The community leaders who volunteer their time are invaluable and instrumental in helping shape our impact, and our reach in Central Illinois.  We would like to extend a warm welcome to some of our newest board members.

Featured Program – Harvest

The EP!C Harvest provides opportunities for over eighty adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to be involved in EP!C’s greenhouse, garden, and market stand. Individuals who work with EP!C Harvest learn about plant care, soil preparation, planting, garden upkeep, harvesting, and preparing for winter. In addition to regular gardening activities, they have the opportunity to help create functional and decorative wooden pieces, learn about natural plant and animal life cycles, and sell flowers and produce at EP!C’s farm stand and the farmer’s market as well as help with specialty projects, such as growing these gorgeous Violas for our Bon Appétit event, being held in March.
