A Message from our CEO

As we approach the season of autumn, we are conscious of summer coming to an end and winter not far away and I can’t help but to think of how this is similar to the cycles of a family.

We experience changes throughout our life along with supporting other family members through the seasons of their life. People with disabilities look for the support of their families throughout their lives as do all of us.  Family is not only defined as having the same parentage or bloodline, it is also based on factors such as loyalty, respect and love.

Throughout the seasons this next year, look at spending time with a person at EP!C.  Share with someone what you enjoy doing, or help a person experience an opportunity to learn or grow.  Please go to www.epicci.org to visit our website with opportunities to volunteer or to donate towards items on our wish list.  You can also contact a professional at EP!C to find out how YOU can become part of the EP!C family.

June’s Volunteer of the Month is Craig Mitchkes!  Craig volunteers in our Harvest Garden program. His background, working for the state of Illinois with local agriculture, has been a great help to our program.
