Our Commitment to Fresh, Natural, Locally-Grown Produce
Harvest produces high-quality, locally-grown produce and a full range of season flowers and plants in the EP!C garden and green house. Our produce is always vine-ripened, time-tested hybrid and heirloom fruits and vegetables, never any laboratory-produced GMOs . We only use Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) certified soil additives in conjunction with cover crops to maximize soil health and growing potential without using chemical fertilizers. Our garden is fenced off to prevent unwanted animals from traveling through our produce. We intentionally make our garden a haven for people and wildlife. Birds, butterflies, and bees are natural partners with us in our garden as they reduce pests and increase crop pollination. Native plants and flowers are also often planted in and around our garden to draw pollinators of all types. We do our part to make our corner of the world a better place.
Partnering with Harvest
We offer a wide variety of vegetables, herbs, and fruits, and if there is something you or your business needs, we can accommodate special requests for hard to find vegetables and herbs. All of our produce is picked fresh, cleaned, and delivered to you the same day, often within hours of coming out of the garden. We are known throughout the community for delivering high-quality, naturally-grown produce and currently partner with Table 19 at the Pere Marquette, Naturally Yours Grocery, Lutheran Hillside Village, and Alwan & Sons. Proceeds from Harvest support EP!C programs and help reduce EP!C’s dependence on State funding.
Seasonal Flowers and Plants
In addition to fresh produce, Harvest also cultivates seasonal flowers. Every year, we hold a spring flower sale in March and April in time to celebrate Mother’s Day. To place an order for the spring flower sale, please download the form, fill it out, and then submit it. In the late summer, we transition to selling mums, the flower of fall. As the weather cools, we move to our annual poinsettia sale to celebrate the holidays. All of our seasonal flowers are for sale both to community members and to businesses. We provide seasonal flowers and plants to organizations including First United Methodist Church, OSF, the Pere Marquette, Trinity Lutheran Church, and WMBD.
We love having visitors and invite you to tour our garden to see where your food comes from and how it is grown. Please call or email ahead for an appointment.
